Jackie's Lucky Cat

Back in June, at the Summer Vibe Tattoo Festival in Long Island, I ran into Jackie, who I had met two years ago at the 2016 Empire State Tattoo Expo (see the post here).

Jackie was kind enough to share this lovely Maneki-neko tattoo on her leg:

Since I got my Maneki-neko in February, I feel a kinship with folks who have similar tattoos. Hers, of course, is more traditional than mine.

This cool "lucky cat" was done by the amazing Po Zhang (@popotattoo) at World Famous Tattoo Art Gallery (@worldfamoustattooartgallery) on Long Island.

Jackie's Ganesh (at the NY Empire State Tattoo Expo)

Last July at the NY Empire State Tattoo Expo (@nyempirestatetattooexpo), I met Jackie, who shared this stunning tattoo on her forearm:

She briefly told me, "I have a lot of interest in Buddhism ... this is Ganesh ... and it's supposed to mean good fortune and good health."

The artist that did this is Popo (Zhang Po) (@popotattoo), who works out of Tattoo Lou's (@tattoo_lous_ny) in Selden, New York, out on Long Island. He was also at the expo as part of the World Famous Ink Pro Team (@worldfsmousproteam).
