Soraya's Amazing Tattoos Honor Her Family History

Last summer, down by the New York Stock Exchange, I met Soraya, who was visiting the city from Porto Allegre, Brazil. She shared some amazing work dedicated to her family, starting with this stunning black and gray portrait of her mother:


The compass is part of the overall theme of her sleeve, honoring her family's rich tradition as explorers. Thus, she has this amazing ship:
